Jesus Freed Me From the Fear of Death

I've often pondered what is death.  For years I had lived afraid of dying.  The terror became intense when I was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer at the age of 39.  When I was laying on my bed decimated by chemo and consumed by cancer I thought of The  Man who hung on the cross.  I remembered He said He has the power to get a person to heaven.  So I asked Him, I said:  "Jesus, if you are real, please just get me to heaven.  And get my children there someday too."    Immediately all fear of death left me.  And I knew that God is good, and Jesus is merciful.  And heaven... I knew that Jesus is merciful and He would get me to heaven some great and glorious day.  I trust Him.  You can too.

WE ARE PEOPLE OF FLESH AND BLOOD.  THAT IS WHY JESUS BECAME ONE OF US.  HE DIED TO DESTROY THE DEVIL, WHO HAD POWER OVER DEATH. BUT HE ALSO DIED TO RESCUE ALL OF US WHO LIVE EACH DAY IN FEAR OF DYING. HE HAD TO BE ONE OF US, SO THAT HE COULD SERVE GOD AS OUR MERCIFUL AND FAITHFUL HIGH PRIEST AND SACRIFICE HIMSELF FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF OUR SINS. (Heb. 2:14,15,17 CEV)

The Savior of the World

From before the beginning of time God forordained  to send human kind the Savior of the World.

 He sent Jesus to restore a lost relationship with the Maker to you and I.  To me, the whole Bible can be summed up in 1 verse:  THE SON OF MAN CAME TO SEEK AND TO SAVE THAT WHICH WAS LOST.  (Luke 9:10)  God sent His only begotten son, Jesus of Nazareth, to find us, and save our souls.  Jesus is the Man of Mercy sent from God.  He brings us back to relationship with our High and Holy God.  Isn't that wonderful to have intimate union with God?  To know He loves you, takes care of you, and is with us and in us?  This is a great mystery.  He makes us complete inside.  And this makes God happy.

Jesus explains: "AND THIS IS ETERNAL LIFE; TO KNOW YOU, THE 

ONLY TRUE GOD, AND THE ONE WHOM YOU'VE SENT-- JESUS THE MESSIAH." (John 17:3 ISV)

In a sense Jesus is now my Husband.  Jesus is mercy incarnate; mercy of deep, unfathomable power.  Some of the most beautiful words I've ever read are from Hosea Chapter 2 in the ISV translation.  "IT WILL COME ABOUT AT THAT TIME" DECLARES THE LORD, "THAT YOU WILL ADDRESS ME AS 'MY HUSBAND, AND YOU WILL NO LONGER CALL ME 'MY MASTER.' (v. 16)   "I WILL MAKE YOU MY WIFE FOREVER-- I WILL MAKE YOU MY WIFE IN A WAY THAT IS RIGHTEOUS, IN A MANNER THAT IS JUST, BY A LOVE THAT IS GRACIOUS, AND BY A MOTIVE THAT IS MERCY.  I WILL MAKE YOU MY WIFE BECAUSE OF MY FAITHFULNESS, AND YOU WILL KNOW THE LORD" (v.19,20)   "I WILL SHOW MERCY (from God) ON HER WHO RECEIVED NO MERCY (from man)... AND THEY WILL SAY 'YOU ARE MY GOD.' (v. 23b,d)

FOR YOUR MAKER IS YOUR HUSBAND; THE LORD OF THE HEAVENLY ARMIES IS HIS NAME, AND THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL IS YOUR REDEEMER; HE IS CALLED THE GOD OF THE WHOLE EARTH.  FOR THE LORD HAS CALLED YOU BACK.. (Is. 54:5,6a)

Vision Of Jesus Mercy Seat: I Was Touched By God

I sat with Jesus on His Mercy Seat in vision once. Profound.

I had always wanted to touch our Lord Jesus, just like the Apostle John did, and Jesus' other followers too.  John writes:  THE WORD THAT GIVES LIFE WAS FROM THE BEGINNING, AND THIS IS THE ONE OUR MESSAGE IS ABOUT.  OUR EARS HAVE HEARD, OUR OWN EYES HAVE SEEN, AND OUR HANDS TOUCHED THIS WORD. (1 Jn. 1:1 CEV)

Well, one day Jesus did even better than that for me.  He touched me; the touch of a Man, the touch of God.  These are the preceding circumstances:  I was devastated and heartbroken.  My husband had passed away.  I took a job working as a caregiver for a quadriplegic man in his home.  He became very abusive.  After 2 years of faithful service to him his abuse turned into unimaginable cruelty.  So I had to leave his employ.

The Touch From God

As I was worshiping in church one Sunday morning with my eyes closed I saw Jesus sitting on a low stone bench to my right in vision with my eyes closed.  He called me to Him.  The next thing I knew I was sitting beside Him. All He did was reach out and touch my right arm.  He was patting and stroking my arm; giving me the comfort,  and reassurance that only a Man can.  And, at the same time I felt, experienced His power flow into me.  Power only God can give.  Jesus mercy flowed into my physical body, my emotional being, my mental body, (soul and spirit).   Every nanoparticle of my being was flooded with God's mercy.  Jesus mercy filled me.  Then forgiveness came in.  I'd say 95% mercy and 5% forgiveness.  Jesus knew just what I needed, and how much.  Then He stopped.   I wanted more, but knew that was enough.  He knows what to give.  

When He finished, at that moment, my heart asked if that was His mercy seat.  I wanted to understand His other seats too.  But He didn't give me an answer.  The next thing I knew I was back in church singing to Him.  He made me happy.  He touched me, the touch of God, the touch of Man.  Since then I've come to know that was His mercy seat.  He gave me the mercy of sitting next to Him when I so desperately needed God.

SO WHENEVER WE ARE IN NEED, WE SHOULD COME BRAVELY BEFORE THE THRONE OF OUR MERCIFUL GOD.  THERE WE WILL BE TREATED WITH UNDESERVED KINDNESS, AND WE WILL FIND HELP. (Heb. 4:16 CEV)    SO LET'S WALK RIGHT UP TO HIM AND GET WHAT HE IS SO READY TO GIVE.  TAKE THE MERCY, ACCEPT THE HELP. (Heb. 4:16 MSG)

SO LET US KEEP ON COMING BOLDLY TO THE THRONE OF GRACE, SO THAT WE MAY OBTAIN MERCY AND FIND GRACE TO HELP US IN OUR TIME OF NEED. (Heb. 4:16 ISV)

God's Spirit Speaks In Dreams And Visions

God's Spirit  give dreams, vision and prophecy at times  too.
(Joel 2:28, Acts 2)

Visions are through the Holy Spirit.  I love being with Jesus in vision.  It's with my eyes closed, when I'm in the Spirit that He has appeared to me.  It's  during prayer , and or worship when He has come to me.  Once in a dream, a vision of the night.  I love Jesus, I love being with Him. I fell in love with Him 20 years ago when He healed me of terminal breast cancer. Nothing I have ever done or ever could do deserved His miracle.  It's only His mercy.  Jesus has called to me in vision to sit with Him, and I did.  He has called me to Him to 'talk'  face to face.  Not with words, Spirit to spirit.  These occasions are too rare. I appreciate Him.  I thank Him.  I need Jesus more, with every passing day.  I long to be in our Lords Presence.  I desire to be with Jesus in vision even more.  TAKE DELIGHT IN THE LORD AND HE WILL GIVE YOU THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART. (Psalm 37:4 NIV)  And He does. 

 Jesus came to Paul in a vision during prayer:  "WHEN I RETURNED TO JERUSALEM AND WAS PRAYING AT THE TEMPLE, I FELL INTO A TRANCE AND SAW THE LORD SPEAKING TO ME", records Paul. (Acts 22:17,18a)  Jesus came to Ananias in vision too. (Acts 9:15)  Peter fell into a trance, a visionary state.  He saw a vision while he was in prayer. (Acts 10:10)  From this vision Jesus sent him to the gentiles.  Jesus came to Paul in a dream, a vision of the night.  ONE NIGHT THE LORD SPOKE TO PAUL IN A VISION: "DO NOT BE AFRAID; KEEP ON SPEAKING, DO NOT BE SILENT."  (Acts 18:9)  In each case Jesus talked to them.    Are we surprised when Jesus comes and talks to us too?  Would we expect anything less with God?  I have lived the Bible, the book of Acts from the moment of my salvation.  Jesus saved my soul when I was laying on my bed dying of cancer.  Jesus' mercy subsequently healed me. His grace and forgiveness have been with me ever since.  

Daniel is a man famous for his 'visions of the night'.  God called Paul to preach the gospel to Macedonia (Greece) through a vision in the night.(Acts 16:9,19)   The most renown vision in the world is the Revelation of Jesus Christ.  John saw this vision when he was in the Spirit.  The Lord Jesus came to him  in His glorified body shining brighter than the sun.  (That's how Jesus first came to Saul of Tarsus.)  John was on the island of Patmos to  receive this vision, the Apocalypse. He recorded all that he saw and heard  for us. (Revelation 1)  John writes:  AFTER THIS I LOOKED AND BEFORE ME WAS A DOOR STANDING OPEN IN HEAVEN. AND THE VOICE (of Jesus) I HAD FIRST HEARD SPEAKING TO ME LIKE A TRUMPET SAID, "COME UP HERE, AND I WILL SHOW YOU WHAT MUST TAKE PLACE AFTER THIS." AT ONCE I WAS IN THE SPIRIT, AND BEHOLD, A THRONE STOOD IN HEAVEN, WITH ONE SEATED ON THE THRONE.  (Rev. 4:1,2)  I was taken to that throne once in vision too.  Beholding the Glory of God was the highlight of my life. 

 The first record of God coming to man in vision is with Abraham. AFTER THESE THINGS THE WORD OF THE LORD CAME TO ABRAM IN A VISION, SAYING, "FEAR NOT, ABRAM: I AM THY SHIELD, AND THY EXCEEDING GREAT REWARD." (Gen. 15:1 KJV)   The earliest vision seen in the Bible is the second coming of the Messiah: ENOCH, THE SEVENTH FROM ADAM, PROPHESIED..: "SEE, THE LORD IS COMING WITH THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF HIS HOLY ONES." (Jude 14a,c)

 God says;  CALL UPON ME AND I WILL SHOW YOU GREAT AND MIGHTY THINGS YOU KNOW NOT. (Jeremiah 3)  And I do call to Him, and He does show me wonderful things. I thank Him.  And, of course, reading the Oracles of God, our bibles provide an entrance into God's Spirit. Sometimes, during bible reading it is just like being there with Jesus, God talking to me personally. He will talk to you personally too.  His Spirit knows how to reach our inner depths.  He enables us to understand the Word of God.  Bible reading isn't just intellectual.   Scripture only comes alive and speaks to us through God's Spirit. ALL SCRIPTURE IS BREATHED OUT BY GOD.. (2 Tim. 3:16a ESV)   FOR THE WORD OF GOD IS ALIVE AND ACTIVE.. IT PENETRATES EVEN TO DIVIDING SOUL AND SPIRIT.. (Heb. 4:a,c NIV) 

    .. NO ONE CAN KNOW THE THOUGHTS OF GOD EXCEPT GOD'S SPIRIT. (1Cor. 2:11c ISV)   In a sense we depend on the Holy Spirit of God to enlighten us.   BUT GOD HAS REVEALED THOSE THINGS TO US BY HIS SPIRIT.  FOR THE SPIRIT SEARCHES EVERYTHING, EVEN THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD. (1 Cor. 2:10 ISV)  O HOW DEEP ARE GOD'S RICHES, AND WISDOM, AND KNOWLEDGE!  HOW UNFATHOMABLE ARE HIS DECISIONS AND UNEXPLAINABLE HIS WAYS! (Rom. 11:33 ISV)

Jesus Call On My Life

I thought it right to write to you   to let you know how Jesus Spirit is moving powerfully in my life.    Jesus has awakened me once again.  I love Him even more, incredible.

This is what happened:

We were deep in worship in the Spirit one Sunday a few months ago.  Jesus gave me ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to me.  This thought came into my mind," I HAVE NOT FOUND YOUR WORKS COMPLETE BEFORE MY GOD."  REV 3:2

I've promptly repented, and remembered what I have received and heard.   I want to walk with Him in white.  My prayer is to live long enough, strong enough, empowered enough to complete the work Jesus has instructed me.

This is what  happened when Jesus recommissioned me:

This happened about a year ago.  My health had been in decline.

 We were deep in worship Sunday morning.  We were singing a song about being on our knees before Jesus.  All of a sudden I saw this picture in my mind, my eyes were closed.  I saw myself on my knees, before Jesus (in His mortal/ resurrected body).  My eyes were about knee level.  He then 'said' to me, not with words, Spirit to spirit.  "Come up here."  Immediately I was standing before Him face to face.  Jesus said to me, not with words, Spirit to spirit.  "I still have more for you to do."  (I knew immediately I was not dying, and Jesus would give me more years of life here.) Jesus said, "Tell of My mercy."  (I knew immediately He was specifically talking of 20 years ago when I was dying of terminal cancer, leaving my babies behind.  A minister prayed for me on the phone.  The dunamis of Jesus, the power of God, a living hope, touched me in the top of my head, and blew cancer, death, and despair out of my body in a second.  God poured a living hope into me.)    Then, Jesus said to me, "Tell of my grace."  ( I knew immediately that these past 20 years I have lived and had any success in life only by His grace.  God has carried me on eagles wings of grace.)  Then Jesus said, "Tell of My forgiveness."  Immediately I knew that my sins, so grevious to me, were as if they never happened.  HE HAS FREED US BY HIS BLOOD FROM OUR SINS.....

      This mercy, grace, forgiveness... the Love of God which is Christ Jesus our Lord was revealed to me as unfathomably powerful always flowing to us, like a mighty river, an ocean which we are receiving.  IN HIM WE LIVE AND MOVE AND HAVE OUR BEING.  We read of His power, we live it, we experience and it is even more profoundly powerful than we can fathom.

    IT IS FINISHED,   Gods mercy, grace, forgiveness blown into the universe from Jesus on the cross... forever, and ever....

 We drink daily from Jesus' Spirit for our daily sustenance.  When we come to Him for salvation, He gives us Himself,  His Spirit, living waters of eternal life.  " FOR YOU ARE THE FOUNTAIN OF LIFE, THE LIGHT BY WHICH WE SEE,"  declared King David.  (Ps. 36:9NLT) 

    John, Jesus Beloved Apostle, was taken to heaven in a vision. Jesus sent him an angel to show him the Revelation of Jesus Christ. John recorded all that he saw  and heard in the book of Revelation. He saw the glorious new heavens, and new earth.   He saw the most beautiful spring in the universe;  a river of living waters coming out of  Gods' and Jesus' throne.

THEN THE ANGEL SHOWED ME THE RIVER OF THE WATER OF LIFE, BRIGHT  AS CRYSTAL, FLOWING FROM THE THRONE OF GOD AND OF THE LAMB. (Rev.22:1 ESV) .... AND ALSO ON EITHER SIDE OF THE RIVER THE TREE OF LIFE... NO LONGER WILL THERE BE  ANYTHING ACCURSED, FOR THE THRONE OF GOD AND OF THE LAMB WILL BE IN IT (the glorious city),   AND HIS SERVANTS WILL WORSHIP HIM.  THEY WILL SEE HIS FACE, AND HIS NAME WILL BE ON THEIR FOREHEADS.  AND NIGHT WILL BE NO MORE.  THEY WILL NEED NO LIGHT OF LAMP OR SUN, FOR THE LORD GOD WILL BE THEIR LIGHT, AND THEY WILL REIGN FOREVER AND EVER.  (Rev. 22:2b,3-5 ESV)   

We will  be with God then, and see Him, face to face. No more struggles and wrestlings of this world.   We will rule and reign with Jesus forever, walking in His marvelous light.  AMEN. COME LORD JESUS. (Rev. 22:20c)

    THE SPIRIT AND THE BRIDE SAY, "COME!"  LET EVERYONE WHO HEARS THIS SAY, "COME!"  AND LET THE ONE WHO IS THIRSTY COME; LET THE ONE WHO WANTS IT TAKE THE WATER OF LIFE FREE OF CHARGE. (Rev. 22:17 ISV)

Jesus Calls Me The Second Time

 Just like the Word of the Lord came to Jonah the second time (Jonah 3:1); Jesus called me the second time too.   This is what  happened when Jesus recommissioned me about a year ago:   We were deep in worship Sunday morning at church, Calvary Spokane.  We were singing a song about being on our knees before Jesus in worship.  All of a sudden I was in vision, in the Spirit.  Jesus came to me.  My eyes were closed.  I saw myself on my knees, before Jesus (in His mortal/ resurrected body).  My eyes were about knee level.  He then 'said' to me, not with words, Spirit to spirit.  "Come up here."  

Immediately I was standing before Him face to face.

      This mercy, grace, forgiveness... the Love of God which is Christ Jesus our Lord was revealed to me as unfathomably powerful always flowing to us, like a mighty river, an ocean which we are receiving continually.  (IN HIM WE LIVE AND MOVE AND HAVE OUR BEING. Acts)   Then, I came out of the vision and was aware of standing in church again, singing to Jesus.

       We read of His power, we live it, we experience it.  This love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord  is even more profoundly powerful than we can fathom; infinite power.  GOD IS LOVE.  IT IS FINISHED,   Gods mercy, grace, forgiveness was blown into the universe 2,000 years ago from Jesus on the cross... forever, and ever....

I've seen the most adorable birds here in New Zealand...

Huge hawks, blue heron families stalking in the lagoons, and twirling songbirds, soaring in the heights... and even the illusive kiwi that only comes out only at night. When I see these cutest creatures I think of the love of God, the great Creator of the cosmos.  He even loves the sparrows

"INSTEAD, BE CONCERNED ABOVE EVERYTHING ELSE WITH THE KINGDOM OF GOD, AND WITH WHAT HE REQUIRES OF YOU, AND HE WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH ALL THESE OTHER THINGS." (Mt. 6:32b,33 GNT)  

God says:
"I KNOW ALL THE BIRDS IN THE MOUNTAINS; INDEED, EVERYTHING THAT MOVES IN THE FIELD IS MINE."        (Psalm 50:11 ISV)  

We can trust Jesus always to take care of us when we are His.  EVERYTHING WAS CREATED BY HIM, EVERYTHING IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH.  ALL THINGS WERE CREATED BY GOD'S SON, AND EVERYTHING WAS MADE FOR HIM. (Col. 1:16a,c CEV)

THE FAITHFUL LOVE OF THE LORD NEVER ENDS!  HIS MERCIES NEVER CEASE.  GREAT IS HIS FAITHFULNESS.  HIS MERCIES BEGIN AFRESH EACH MORNING. (Lam. 3:22,23 NLT)

Just think, this same Great God who upholds the eagles, feeds the swallows and generates the universe has mercy on you and I.  He has shown me infinite mercy.  Jesus is Mercy Incarnate.
